Dear IAC Friends,
Our colleague, Rebecca Burnett, Class of '58 Professor (LMC), retires from Georgia Tech in July.
Rebecca has graced LMC, Ivan Allen College, and Georgia Tech as director of the Brittain Fellowship and the Writing and Communication Program since 2007. Rebecca led with creative and innovative teaching practices with and about digital media, and the mentoring and development of many, especially early career scholar-students who now cover the globe.
I deeply value Rebecca's partnership with IAC ADVANCE in an intensive review of and recommendations toward IAC School Handbooks; her support of professional development; and participation in an innovative (and prescient !) IAC ADVANCE panel and workshop on "Envisioning and Shaping the Futures of On-Line Teaching and Learning."
